Seamless GRP Tank Transportation from Al Ghail to USA

Challenge

Transportation of GRP Tank 40 Flat Rack container across UAE, requiring traffic approvals and police escorts, for onward shipping to the USA.

Process

The GRP Tank cargo journeyed 125 kilometres from Al Ghail to Jebel Ali port in Dubai, making  the pre-carriage a significant leg in the overall transit. This shipment was meticulously overseen by our dedicated regional manager in Dubai, who ensured the cargo’s secure loading and lashing in Al Ghail.

Transporting the cargo, which measured a total of 585 centimetres, including Flat Rack and lowbed height, posed a considerable challenge. Significant planning and preparation were required, including approval for escorting vehicles and a detailed route map which were essential components of this process, ensuring a smooth and safe transit.

Setting us apart from a competitor, we were able to fulfil the prime requirement of our client by offering Flat Rack loading directly at the Al Ghail site. This strategic advantage demonstrated our commitment to meeting specific client needs, and by securing traffic and police approval for the exceptional road journey. The skids were lowered significantly, and extra dunnage was used, guaranteeing a safe and compliant move whilst meeting the clients’ key aims.

Outcome

At 01:00 hrs, early in the morning, the cargo commenced its journey from Al Ghail, arriving at Jebel Ali port by 5:15 am. Covering 125 kilometres in just under four hours, this timely transit demonstrated the efficiency and precision of our logistics operation.

Ultimately, the cargo was delivered to the port terminal without a hitch, showcasing our team’s dedication to executing complex logistics operations seamlessly. This successful endeavour stands as a testament to our commitment to creating bespoke solutions for our customers and our excellence in cargo transportation.
