Shipping Corporation of India (SCI)
An Indian Government enterprise, SCI specialises in FCL across the Indian sub-continent. In doing so, it handles both government and commercial cargoes, through co-loading and chartered tonnage.
The FCL-service calls at Colombo in Sri Lanka, Mundra and Nhava Sheva in India. These hub-ports provide excellent feeder connections to smaller ports in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. SCI also boasts numerous inland container depots spanning the vast Indian sub-continent.
SCI recently formed a consortium with M/s. Mediterranean Shipping Company. Together, SCI-MSC now runs an ISE Service (Indian Subcontinent Europe Service) every week, using seven vessels.
