New York

New York (New Jersey) – established in 1921 and run by a joint port authority that controls seven terminals split between the ports of New York and New Jersey. The port district is irregularly shaped and covers an area of 1,500 square miles, roughly within a 25 mile radius of the Statue of Liberty.
With a containerized throughput of 5.29 million teu the port currently is placed 20th in the world rankings and located at the hub of the most concentrated and affluent consumer market in the world.
