Goodwood Festival of Speed

Up to speed with our customers!

We were clearly on the right track when we invited customers to enjoy us for a weekend feast of ‘cars, stars and motor sport royalty' - we welcomed nearly 70 customers to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and a great time was had by all.

It was a particularly special occasion for Allseas Global Logistics Managing Director Andrew Morris, who got behind the wheel of his beloved Lotus Lamborghini. Designed by Lotus for use in the 1990 Formula One season, only five type 102 chassis were manufactured.

Andrew's car, Chassis 4, is the sister car of the one in which Formula 1 driver Martin Donnelly was badly injured in the qualifying round of the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez; over the Goodwood weekend, Donnelly was ‘reunited' with the car, which clearly brought back some poignant memories.

Other stars at Goodwood included Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton, who took time out to compare notes with Andrew Morris and admire the Lotus.

Another important link was the presence of Freddie Sheene, son of Barry Sheene. Andrew Morris is the founder of Icon Motorcycles, which has designed and built the Sheene Ultrabike in memory of the former world champion motorcycle road racer.

The great and good at Goodwood: Red Bull Racing chief technical officer Adrian Newey and Lewis Hamilton admire Andrew Morris's Lotus Lamborghini.
