Allseas Global Logistics has taken over the UK agency for Ocean World Lines, signalling a major expansion in our activities. The move will deliver clear benefits to customers of both companies, together with the ability to have a greater influence throughout the market. "This is a really big stride forward for Allseas and we are very excited about the new opportunities it brings," said Commercial Manager Mark Binge. Several former OWL staff previously based in Ipswich have joined Allseas in Felixstowe. "Our Felixstowe office has shown steady growth in the past two years, recently relocating to new, more spacious premises," said Mark. OWL is one of the largest bonded NVOCCs in the world, shipping more than 100,000 teu a year. With more than 60 service contracts with the top ocean carriers, it services the major trade lanes to and from the United States. OWL predominantly carries FAK (freight all kinds) and airfreight cargo - a good fit with Allseas' own activities as a specialist mover of project and out-of-gauge cargoes. "At Allseas we already offered all of the services that OWL offers, but taking on the agency gives us increased buying power in the market place and will therefore make our competitive position even stronger," said Mark. |
