Golden Gate Endeavour Success!
The entire team at Allseas Global Logistics would like to congratulate Chris & Mick for completing their Pacific circumnavigation of the globe from Japan to the US. Arriving at the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco on Friday 13 November (obviously not unlucky in this instance), 190 days after setting off the guys received a heroes welcome, were showered in media attention, the MAyor of California was there to welcome them in & they were treated to a private function at the British Embassy. Even Allseas Global's MD, Andrew Morris was at the dock to welcome them in!
The last few weeks were especially difficult for the crew with bad weather halting progress for a number of days with the view of land constantly reminding them of how close they were to achieving their goal. With food reserves running low Allseas Global co-ordinated an emergency food drop via helicopter to make sure the dream was not shattered mere miles from the finish line.
Now that the row has been successfully completed it is once again the responsibility of Allseas Global to ensure that the boat Bojangles safely makes her way home to the UK. We have already removed her from the water via crane and are getting her ready for the long journey home. After all, it's about time someone else did the work!
Congratulations again to Mick and Chris, what a fantastic achievement.
