Allseas ships in turbines

14 March 2014

The two largest turbines weighed 75 tonnes and 50 tonnes respectively; the total shipment consisted of 40 crates weighing approximately 174 tonnes.

The consignment was loaded on board the Rickmers-Linie vessel, Rickmers Mumbai, for delivery to the UK, where it was discharged onto low-loaders and step-frame trailers for oncarriage to Oldbury.

Having successfully completed the project, Allseas has since won tenders for further shipments from the same customer.

Allseas Global Logistics – a member of the Global Project Logistics Network (GPLN) – was awarded the contract by Indian GPLN member, Jeena and Company.
